Dear ACTS members and visitors,
It is with great pleasure that I have accepted the role of President of ACTS, in light of Lania’s resignation from the position. Lania has set in motion some fantastic initiatives and partnerships which I look forward to further developing. Though departed from the role of President, we will continue to involve Lania in the directions for ACTS and thank her for her contributions to date.
While in the role, I am very keen to commence new initiatives and partnerships, particularly focusing on actions and activities that will bring the higher education sector together as a force to be reckoned with. Some of the new initiatives currently under development include:
I am very fortunate to have the support of my supervisor, Vice-Chancellor Professor Steven Schwartz, in taking on this role, which will provide me with a great opportunity to take ACTS to the next level. I hope you will actively support me, the Exectutive Board and fellow ACTS members to continue to develop ACTS into a useful and active organisation. Exciting times lay ahead for all of us. Lets work together to take ACTS, our institutions and the higher education sector to greater heights of sustainability.
Warm regards
Leanne

Good afternoon
A renewal letter and application form has been emailed to your institutional primary and secondary contact with a reminder that all access to the membership area of the ACTS website will automatically deactivate on the 31st March if your membership is not renewed. Application forms can also be found on the website in the membership section. If you have any questions regarding your membership, please do not hesitate to contact me. On behalf of the ACTS Executive Board, I would like to thank you for your continued support and look forward to your participation in 2010. Cheers Delwyn.
As people begin returning to work after Christmas and New Years, we hope that you all enjoyed your holidays and are back at work ready to take on another year of sustainability within your institution. ACTS as always is interested to know what sustainability projects and initiatives you will be working on in 2010, so please remember to send us through any information. In doing so you can not only share your knowledge and ideas with others, but receive feedback and help from other institutions who have implemented or undergone similar projects.
Also, don’t forget that the ACTS forum can be a useful tool for answering questions or getting ideas from your peers.
The 2010 ACTS Conference dates have been set for September 29, 30 and October 1 2010. The conference will take place in Melbourne, Victoria, and will be hosted by several institutions within the CBD.
